2- MUST

a. Must exists only in the simple present (must).

Exemple

  1. Children must obey their parents.

  2. You must not come to school late.

  3. Must they clean the classroom today?

  4. Mustn't a good pupil  learn his lessons every day?

b. In the other tenses we replace it by its equivalent ‘to have to'.

Exemple

  1. Moussa had to learn his lessons.

  2. She didn't have to cook rice.

  3. Will the pupils have to do an English test next week?

  4. Won't you have to go to hospital tomorrow?

Fondamental

Must expresses an obligation.

Exemple

A good pupil must learn his/her lessons every day.
